Effects of Induced Hypotension on Cerebral Blood Flow

Abstract
|

|
It is very important to evaluate the fluctuations of the blood flew when mean arterial pressure is -changed.
To determine the changes of the dye flow in the brain of experimental dog Evans blue dye was injected intro the internal carotid artery of right side. The blood samples were collected frem the jointing portion of the external and internal maxillary vein and :internal jugular vein every minute for six times during normal MABP and a half of normal pressure induced by Halothan inhalation in the same animal.
The recovery of the dye at a half of normal pressure for 6 minutes showed 4 o increased value than normal MABP.
The little increased recovery of Evans blue suggested the effect of Halothane administration on cerebral blood vessels and this phenomenon still showing autoregulatory action of the cerebral blood vessels.
